Finders International are global probate genealogists, a main firm on the BBC1 TV series Heir Hunters. We provide a free next of kin tracing service for the public sector and recently launched Finders International Funeral Fund which can help cover of the costs of public health act and hospital funerals.
Finders International was established by Managing Director Daniel Curran in 1997. Nowadays we are more commonly known as 'Heir Hunters' following our high profile appearances on BBC1’s popular daytime show ‘Heir Hunters’.
We offer a free next of kin tracing service to Public Sector Services: Councils, NHS Trusts, hospitals and coroners across the UK in cases where next of kin cannot be located or contacted for deceased clients. Once family are identified and located the whole case is regularly removed from all Local Authority involvement within days or weeks, saving public sector time and money in the process. Without our assistance these cases could remain unresolved for years and sometimes forever. At Finders International giving back to the community is an important part of our ethos and culture as an ethical organisation. This is why we have established the Finders International Funeral Fund (FIFF).
We hope that this new fund and social initiative will benefit hard-pressed Local Authorities and NHS Trusts by helping them to recover the costs of Public Health Act or ‘pauper’s’ funerals. When a Public Health Act funeral is being planned, usually at the Local Authority or NHS Trusts expense, these organisations can now ask Finders International for a subsidy payment towards this cost by applying to our new Funeral Fund*. This Fund is intended for cases where there are no known next of kin (rather than next of kin simply refusing to pay) and Finders International will have carried out research to confirm this. *Full details of eligibility criteria can be found on our website www.findersinternational.co.uk
